There were reports that Udhayanidhi Stalin, in his maiden heroic venture ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’, is either playing the role of a band master or a ticket collector. Here we have something official about it.

Director of the movie Rajesh of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ fame says, "Udhayanidhi is playing an unemployed youngster in this film. His role will be so lively."

Saying that the film's shoot will start in Chennai from March 16, Rajesh adds: "We shot some trial scenes with Udhayanidhi. They have come great and I am totally convinced with his performance."

With Hansika Motwani playing the heroine, Santhanam will take care of comedy in 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi', whose shoot is expected to get over in a single schedule. The movie will be a mid-2011 release.
